Convert Days and seconds into hours

I have a calculated column based off of a date picker column that calculates the date, plus the time and displays as days, hours, mins. Example, I have an item that starts and ends on the same day from 0800-1200, the display would be 0 days, 4 hours, 00 mins. In my PowerApps, I want to keep a running total of hours, but I can't with the format. Is there a way to turn days and minutes into just  hours per day? 

Example: June 1, 0800-0400 - June 2 0800-1300 - Display: 1 day 5 hours 0 minutes - show as 14 hours in PowerApps.

Do you have 2 date time columns you are saving the 2 datetimes in? If so you could always look into the DateDiff function which will give you the time between two datetimes and will output the results in whatever you want them to be in, hours, days, seconds, etc. 

In your example June 1, 0800-0400 - June 2, 0800-1300 I get confused. 0800-0400 is back in time unless the 0400 is on the next day. How are you saving these entries? is the june 1 entry a row by itself and the june 2 entry is a diff row?

Yes, they are two different columns. I have a start date column and an end date. 

Example:

• Start Date - June 1 0800
• End Date - June 2 1500
• Total time: 1 day 7 hours 0 minutes (the calculated column calculates only 8 hours per work day)
• How I want it to display: 15 (only numerical value in hours)

Purpose: 

To calculate total number of hours in view (varying depending on the filters selected for the gallery). Format in a numerical value depicting hours instead of "days, hours, minutes".

Also, I had a formula for the sp column that calculated 8 hours for every day between the start and end date. However, I need an exact number. If I work on a break fix item that is only one hour, I do not want it to calculate 8 hours. I have changed the formula and the date columns where it includes the hours and minutes, but I just want it to display in hours only in powerapps. So If I worked on an item for 1 hour and 45 minutes, it will show 1.75 for hours instead of the default display. This allows and accurate representation on time spent per task.

Is this kind of what you are wanting? This shows the process of clocking in, then entering clock out time and showing the hours worked changing. Basically what you want is the code from the label "Hours For this Entry" right?

The above code probably is doing much more than you are needing but the DateDiff part is what I am wanting to show you. At the end I divide by 60 min per hour then format it to show 3 decimals always and a leading 0 if needed.

Is "ClockOut_StartDate" the name of the datacard?

So an error pops up with "The value '6/5/2023808:00' cannot be converted to a date or time value.
