Hello, I'm new with the Power Platform and I'm trying to test the AI Builder "Extract key elements from text, and classifies them into predefined categories" template which seems to be a good fit for the solution that I'm trying to create. However, when trying to use it in a Flow, the only option is to extract entities from an email body. Is there a way to extract entities from an email attachment instead?
Solved! Go to Solution.
This is great news! I'll check it out. Thank you.
Is your attachment a document or an email?
If if it an image or PDF, you can use either
- https://docs.microsoft.com/ai-builder/form-processing-model-overview which will require to train a model that will extract the entities you are looking for
- or https://docs.microsoft.com/ai-builder/prebuilt-text-recognition to get the texts and then the use the entity extraction model to extract the entities from this text
Thanks for your reply. The attachments are 2-4 page PDF documents such as NDA's and other types of Agreements. I would like to extract pertinent info such as client name, address, dates, etc. I've seen the 2 links that you sent before but they seemed to be limited to forms and other shorter text. Please let me know if you have any other ideas.
Hi @kharrell - your question is timely because we'll be soon releasing support for unstructured documents like NDAs. This is planned for the beginning of June, but if you're open to it we can invite you to try a preview before that. You just have to fill this form and we'll reach out to you soon. https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=v4j5cvGGr0GRqy180BHbR-1_WfqLCShOsbfoSLRFjF1UMU1B...
