Handwritten Data in Form

Hi team,

My company receives PDFs of documents from our service providers when a job is completed. The majority of the information is filled out - such as the Job ID and customer info. The customer then signs the document if they agree that the job has been completed, and they and the employee write comments - refund is owed, something was damaged in the process, etc.

If the customer has signed the document, and there are no comments for followup, we pay our service provider for the job and close the order. If it is not signed, or there are comments, then some form of manual intervention will be required. I would like to create a process whereby the AI would detect the Job ID, the presence of the signature and the presence of comments. It would not have to know what was signed, or what was written.

It would then go through a flow along the lines of If signature = true and comments = false then pay, else escalate.

The AI builder does not seem to have this capability yet, but I'm wondering if "Manual tagging of unrecognized fields in form processing" would cover this, or if there is another solution for this.

Re: Handwritten Data in Form

Hi RTW,

Signature presence recognition is not something we have in the product today but it's definitely something we'd like to address mid-term.

Regarding comments, did you try training your model to detect comments (by using training documents with comments) and then key your decision on the comment string length?

Hi @RTW ,

You could take a try with forum to check if there is a value in the questions in the response.

Best regards,
