Recognize face and capture it automatically in canvas power apps

Hello Everyone,

If i navigate to the screen, Need to recognize face and capture face automatically(Should also tell if face is far from the webcam, If it is near to the webcam only it should capture the face). Can anyone guide me how this can be achieved?

According to me, we can achieve this with AI builder, But i don't know the approach. Thank you.

Hi,

Unfortunatelly, AI Builder can't recognize faces yet.

You have to get an Azure license to use face recognition API https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/services/cognitive-services/face/ and create a connection from the Power Platform.

Will you please share the referenced articles that matches my requirement.

Send me other than Microsoft docs, because i have gone through it already.

Many thanks in advance.

You can try this one https://nanddeepnachanblogs.com/posts/2020-06-18-facial-recognition-in-sharepoint/

But there are many similar articles available on Google.

I hope this addresses your requirements.

Do we have any option that camera(media) should automatically takes the picture when we enter into the particular screen?

Hi,

You can set StreamRate=100 and OnStream=ClearCollect(Photos, Camera1.Stream)

Then retrieve the picture with First(Photos).Url

See https://powerapps.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/ux-patterns-camera-shutter-button/

Yes, it is taking picture automatically. Once the picture is taken, camera should not be ready state to take the picture again, it should end it with only one picture.

Am still waiting for your reply. Thank you

ok providing a detailed walkthrough:

1. Create a screen with a camera control and a picture control

2. In the "OnVisible" property of your screen, enter this

Set(CameraStreamRate, 200);

3. In the "StreamRate" property of your camera control, enter this

CameraStreamRate

4. In the "Visible" property of your camera control, enter this

false

5. In the "OnStreamRate" property of your camera control, enter this

ClearCollect(Photos, Camera1.Stream);

Set(CameraStreamRate, 0);
6. in "Image" property of your picture control enter this

 First(Photos).Url

Really thank you so much for your patience but what i want to say here is, when we take the picture from the camera control, it is allowing to take picture.

My concern is different for example Am taking one picture of my face, after taking the picture, the camera control should show only that image which i have took until and unless we press the button called retake picture.

I hope you understood my scenario. Thank you
