Today I've refreshed my Dynamics Sandbox instance by making a Full Copy from the Dynamics Production instance.
As a result, the Power Apps that were in development and were connected to the Sandbox (CDS) environment are completely deleted. Unfortunately this behaviour was nowhere mentioned and from Dynamics point of view it surprised me.
I have a sort of backup of one of the Power Apps (exported to zip file), but can't even import that file in the refreshed Sandbox (error systemuser does not exist).
So it seems we lost our work
If anybody has a suggestion on how to solve this, my ears are wide open.
in this case these were only canvas apps and not part of a solution.
The canvas apps we have on our production instance were not copied to our sandbox environment.
So in a way it does not make sense to me.

As you were refreshing your CDS and overall environment these would have, unfortunately, been removed along with it as they are stored in the CDS (from what i've been told).
