Microsoft Teams channel tabs

Is there a setting or way to be able to add a http link to the channel tabs on Microsoft Teams?

A work around would be to create a https redirect page that looks for a URL parameter and redirects you to that URL. We use this solution to be able to create links in SharePoint for Lotus Notes. I just tried this in one of my Teams using the Website option and since my URL started with https it was happy to take it and then it go redirected to my http site that was a parameter of the URL.

 

My URL looks like this:

https://noteslink.abc.com/?url=http://help.abc.com/default.aspx

 

The noteslink page takes the url parameter and redirects you to that website and that is what showed up in my channel even though that site is http.

You can try clicking the "Add a Tab" icon (+ sign) in the channel and then selecting website?

This is the error I´m getting. It is not allowing a http. Is there a way to allow http since the site won´t open up with https?

You can use https://tinyurl.com/ to create an HTTPS link that you can use in Teams tabs that will take users to the HTTP site.
