2 way syncing a map in Onedrive with a map in Sharepoint

Hello

I am making an app with PowerApps to edit some Excel files more easily. The problem is that PowerApps can only edit Excel files that are saved in OneDrive, not ones that are on Sharepoint sites. I can work around this by copying the files from Sharepoint to Onedrive but the files that are left on Sharepoint should be synced with the ones that are in Onedrive and the other way around. That way we could edit a file in Onedrive or in Sharepoint and it would update on both platforms.

I want to make a flow for this but I can't seem to find a good solution. I can make a flow that updates the other folder, but only one way. If I make two flows (one for auto syncing Onedrive to Sharepoint and one for auto syncing Sharepoint to Onedrive), I create an infinte loop because they get triggered by eachother and not just by a user editing a file...

I hope that there is a solution for this.

Kind regards
Arne

Hi @ArneVTR, rather than both of your Flows being automated, have you tried switching the one which syncs from ODFB to SharePoint to be a PowerApps trigger? That way, you can add the Flow trigger into your PowerApp, therefore you won't have an infinite loop.

Re: 2 way syncing a map in Onedrive with a map in Sharepoint

Hello,

I'm very new on Power Automate and more a marketing guy...

But I need to copy the documents of SharePoint over an OneDrive account.
This way it will possible to make automatics backup using a Synology NAS.

I tryed to do a Flow, but it does not work.

Could someone please share a flow that copies files from SharePoint to OneDrive?

There is a similar post about https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Building-Flows/Syncing-files-and-folders-from-Sharepoint-documen...

But no solution pour instance.

Thanks,

Pedro

Hi Arne,

I've got the message bellow on my notification, but I can not find the flow ;

Below I've added my flow to sync Sharepoint to OneDrive. This copies a file from Sharepoint to OneDrive everytime a file in a specified folder is edited or made. It is in Dutch but I hope it helps!
