Add an event in calendar if I get an email with an ics file

Hi,

my Human Resources is able to provide an ics file when I ask for a vaccation. I'd like to automaticaly add this file in my calendar as soon as I got it in my mail. I tried to build a flow doing that. I can get the trigger fired as I want and get my ics file, but there is no action add an event from a file. Is there a way to do that ?

Thanks for your help.

Re: Add an event in calendar if I get an email with an ics file

Hi Jgay,

Do you want to create an event on Office 365 Calendar when an email arrives?

And it seems that you are trying to create the event based on the content of the ICS file.

I am afraid that your scenario might be not possible, when working with the action “Office 365 – Create event”, there is no field can be used to add attachment to the event. And Flow currently is not able to detect the attachment content from an email.

Please consider submit a request at Flow Ideas Forum, I will help collect and report it on my side. PGs will check the ideas forum and take your ideas into consideration in the future releases:

Re: Add an event in calendar if I get an email with an ics file

Hi v-yamao-msft,

no problems I'll open a flow idea. You did understand my case, I get an ics file un a mail and, today, clic on "add to calendar" in OWA. But it seems I miss some and so I don't have 100% of these event in my calendar. I was looking for a solution so I can be asured that 100% of theses events will be in my calendar. The option exists in OWA, should exists in Flow in my humble opinion.

I'll accept your answer as solution for the time being, or is that not a good idea ?

In any case, thanks for your answer.
