Add finished Planner task to Excel - get bucket and user names instead of IDs

Hi everyone,

I've spent two days trying to figure this out, but can't get it to work.

I want to create a flow that automatically adds a new line in an existing Excel table whenever a Planner task with a certain combination of letters in a specific plan is finished. I also want to get which bucket the task was finished in and which users (with names) were assigned to it. I can only get it to create a new row and add all the IDs, but want to automatically translate those IDs to the names.

I have tried to first list buckets and list the task, then have the condition that if the bucket ID of the task is the same as the fetched bucket, it should compose the name for the bucket. With that, I can use "bucket name" later on when I want to add a new line in Excel, but it just gets the name for ALL buckets and suddenly I have 8 new lines with different clear names of the different buckets instead of just one.

Hi @vnaeser ,

Please try the following configuration to get the bucket name.

  • Use Filter array to filter the body of List bucket action and get the bucket name by Bucket id stored in the completed task.
  • Initialize a string variable to store all assigned To user name. Use Get user profile action to get display name and append it to the string variable.
