Add row to Excel File when someone enters a Teams meeting?

I have used the template to add a row to a file when there is a new Message in Teams. Is there a way to do something similar when someone enters a Teams meeting? I am trying to automate the meeting attendance tracking? Or is there a more efficient way to do this?

Hi @Canadiansal

You can try the Outlook trigger "When an event is added, updated or deleted (V2)". There you have access to your attendees and can check the changes.

Thanks - I found the trigger, but I am not sure what to do next.

Hello @Canadiansal ,

Power Automate doesn't have any trigger that would start a flow when user joins a Teams meeting.

You can download meeting attendance report manually (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/teams-analytics-and-reports/meeting-attendance-repor...), but I don't think it can be easily automated.

Hi @Canadiansal,

I will complement the information @tom_riha shared with some additional ideas.

It is correct that currently Power automate doesn't have any trigger that identify when user joins a Teams meeting.

To workaround this scenario, you could download manually the list of participants of meeting and add into a Sharepoint/One Drive folder for example. This list is downloaded in .csv format.

You can configure a flow trigger as 'When a file is created in sharepoint folder' for example. See the connector details: https://docs.microsoft.com/pt-br/connectors/sharepointonline/#triggers.

And then parse the CSV file and use the information as you want.

See data operations reference for more details https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-automate/data-operations.

Or other option would be to revise if one of these Teams API messages could help you (for example 'list participants') and then use power automate action 'HTTP request' to get the information you need.

Hope this helps!
