Alert on any item in Inbox older than X hours?

I have a very specific mailbox that has software that runs and scrapes the inbox and processes messages, but every now and then it gets stuck (e.g. large message attachment over 5MB, or something like that).


I'm hoping to setup a flow so that 

If any message has been in the inbox for longer than 1 hour, send an alert to a specific email.


Is this possible? If so I would need help with the code on how to do this, I'm VERY new to Flow!

That was fantastic - I used it to adjust on your model a bit and it will run once an hour and check for anything older than 15 minutes (I used addMinutes instead of addHours and did -15 minutes instead of -1 hour) That should give us a head start on some things this way if the timing works out right!


It will also show subject as well in the alert email it saves.


I was able to use your video to create a working flow and this should save us lots of frustration moving forward, thank you!!!

Thank you for putting together this video and breaking this down!

This is what I was looking for too, except instead of 1 hours, I'd like to get notified on emails that are 30 minutes or older that still haven't processed.


How would I modify this flow to accomplish that? So far, I did this:

1. Changed recurrence to Interval: 30 and Frequency: Minute

2. Should I change the Get Emails (v3)'s Search Query expression to below with addMinutes instead of addHours?



addMinutes(convertFromUtc(utcNow(), 'Central Standard Time'),-30)


Do I need to change the expression, if so how should I modify it?

When I attempt Send an email (V2) the Select an output from the previous steps shows as "value" rather than "body" as in the video. I can get a mail to work if I do not attempt to add dynamic content, however the content would be very useful. Any ideas what I might be doing wrong?
