Apply to each with nested Do Untils can't get to stop

I have a simply flow that gets items from a list once per day and is suppose to send an email if the due date is less than or equal to today.  It then goes through a series of DoUntil's. The user is then required to mark a check box at each step to indicate they have done a task before it is considered closed.

I have 3 tests list items and although the Apply to each settings say it will run them in parallel, it does not. I sits and waits for the first one to become true so it can send the email before moving on. I have tested it and watched it go from one to the next. I have made all 3 items = true but it still only sends the first one an email and sits and waits for it to be closed before sending the email to the 2nd item.

Is anyone else having issues with this?

Hi @ jcollins,

Do you want to use the "Do until" inside the apply to each?

Could you please share more details about the three "Do until" in your flow?

Please share more details so we could provide a proper workaround for you.

Regards,
Alice Zhang

Hi @ jcollins,

Have your issue be solved?

I'm couldn't image if your requirement couldn't be achieved in the flow if you add the "Do until" inside the "Apply to each",it's a complex process if you do that.

Please let me know if your issue could be solved.

Alice Zhang

Well, I "believe" it is.... it works nicely all the way up until the 3rd DoUntil but then doesn't stop sending emails after the Update Item.  See my notes on the image below.

I basically have a list that i want each item to go through 3 stages at a specified date. At each stage, the user checks a box in the item to indicate they have done something. The flow sends a different email at each stage. When all 3 stages are complete, the Flow will update the item with a future date to be run again then and resets the check boxes.

I tried using the "Stop Flow" action but that just turns the flow off so it won't run again in the future,  it doesn't actually stop the flow in progress.

After the Update Item, i need the flow to stop... any ideas?
