Approval Email

I have a flow that sends out an approval email to specific users when a new item is added to a SharePoint list. The flow works great however the email that is being recieved:

Shows requested by (person requesting approval) then created by which always shows my name.  I don't want approval requests going to upper management all showing created by me. I have tried every change possible in the start approval flow but have had no success.

Has anyone else expereinced this? Have a solution?

Thank you

Melody

Re: Approval Email

Hi @MelodyShults,

Flow does not currently support changing "Created by". If the email is populated in Requestor, Created by will be displayed, showing the user who created the Flow.

There have been many who have suggested that this behavior be changed. You could vote for the similar ideal in the forum below, so it might be considered for future releases.

Re: Approval Email

Hi @MelodyShults,

Could you share a screenshot of your configuration?

There seems to be no "Created BY" you mentioned in my Approval email.

It is worth noting that the creator of the approval process is the user of the account that was logged in when the Flow was created.

It has nothing to do with the requester.

Barry

Re: Approval Email

You are correct there is no created by in the configuration of the approval email.  However every email approval that goes out has my name as the created by. See screen shot

Re: Approval Email

This still doesn't make any logical sence. When doing approvals the approver should see in the email who is making the request.  If I remove the requestor it shows coming from me.
