Approval Flow PowerApps

Hi

I have a power app that has a drop down once the item is selected in the dropwn list there is a lookup coloumn from the group name i.e Data Science brings back the email address for the person to approve the request.  (I had to remove some of the company name in the email address).

On my submit im passing it through as COPLeadEmailAddress.Text

In my flow this requires approval from the manager. I am bringing this as back as a varriable in the flow However using the "approvals" connector and using the email address this fails through. Whats the best way for the person to approve this request using that email stored?

Re: Approval Flow PowerApps

Hi @daniellemaree,

How is your flow created? Could you share more details on the flow creation?

You said that “On my submit im passing it through as COPLeadEmailAddress.Text”, I assume that you have set the value of COPLeadEmailAddress.Text for the Assigned to field.

So I made a simple flow with a PowerApps button, and set the value of the Assigned to field as Ask in PowerApps. On the app, I configured the button as:

'PowerApp->Startanapproval'.Run(TextInput1.Text,TextInput2.Text)

However, it worked fine when I clicked the PowerApps button to trigger the flow.

Please share more details to help reproduce this issue.
