Approval Flow with SharePoint Update Item - User not found

I'm working on an approval flow using a SP List that includes updating the list after the flow is complete, however, I keep running into an error during testing.

I started with a variable for my 'Person or Group' column in SPList, then appended the string.  I added my attachment grab and then my start and wait for approval.  At this point the flow ran without any errors.  When I add my 'Update Item' I receive the below error.  For some reason when I select the 'T' to 'Switch to input entire array' my option to add my variable for 'Approvers List' isn't shown as an option, but if I switch back to 'Switch to detail items for array item' I am given the option of using the 'Approvers List' variable.

I feel like this is where my issue is, but I just do not know how to fix these.

Thanks in advance 🙂

Hello @Peppa ,

the variable isn't shown because the 'Input entire array' option expects an array as the input, not a string - your variable is of a type string. The update then returns an error because it thinks that the ; is part of the email address = it's invalid.

Try to use the 'Select' action instead of looping through the approvers and appending to a variable. You can have one 'Select' to select only the email addresses and then joining them for the approval task.

join(arrayWithEmails, ';')

And another 'Select' to select the emails including the 'Claims' key which you'll use to update the field.
