I hope this forum will help me with my requirements.
I am building a flow with approvers, when a new item is created in the sharepoint list the flow starts the approvals.
Say for example, i am submitting a Reward nomination and based on the category the number of approvers differs from 3 to 5. As per the below screenshot, the person who submits the reward nomination has to select 3 to 5 approvers based on the category.
All i need is to consolidate the responses in one column (Sharepoint - Update Item) and the column should say approved if everyone approves, or rejected if any one of them rejected. And it should say Inprogress if the approvers haven't actioned them. I've invested a lot of time and unable to find a way to complete this flow. One point to consider is we will not have all 5 approvers in all the cases. In some cases it will be 3 and in some cases it will be 5 and so on.
Do you want to start an approval email then update the list with Approve/Reject based on the approval responses? If everyone approves, update the item with Approve, if any one of them rejected, update the item with Reject.
In the action Start an approval, please set Approval type as Everyone from the assigned list.
After the approval action, add the action Update item, and filling the following code in the column that is going to be updated:
If everyone approves, the column will be updated with Approve, if no, it will be Reject.
Please take it for a refer ence and try it on your side.
Thank you for the quick reply.
I would also want a column to print the approver names and their comments. How can i do that please? Will the response summary will populate all the information?
On a similar theme, is there a way to populate list with people's approval/comments as they respond instead of waiting until everyone has responded? This would help identify who has responded and who hasn't.
