Approvals in Microsoft Teams


About a month or so I was involved in the initial building process of an approval flow, which has since gone live and is now being used by many people around this business. The only problem is that, since I'm the original creator of the flow, not only do I get notifications for every single approval request through microsoft teams, but literally every approval says it was requested by me on the user's end. This means that any issue with the request - Even if it has nothing to do with me and I cannot solve it, is being raised with me instead of the person who requested it.

Basically, I was just wondering if there was any way to completely remove my name from the process to stop these notifications from coming to me? I'm getting upwards of 100 a day.

I usually just setup a generic account before we configure a flow that is used by many (especially with approvals involved). If you won't get any other good suggestions, as an alternative you could create a new service/O365 account (e.g. and pass the ownership of your existing flow process to it instead.

You can change the requestor of the approval and add a user from the trigger properties...
