Approvals in Power Automate - second set of options

Hi there,

I'm working on an apporval proces in Power automate. Short description of the flow is following:

  1. if team finishes a task (Planner), send approval to team leader.
  2. If team leader accepts the result, send another approval to the CEO, Owner or Manager

At the moment, I am able to send 2nd approval only to "hardcoded" people, but I would like to add option to 1st approval, where team leader could decide Approver (CEO or Owner or Manager), not all of them.

In short, 1st approval request would have 2 sets of bottuns / options:

  1. accept / reject
  2. CEO / Owner / Manager

If team leader accepts the results, 2nd approval would be sent to chosen approver.

Is this possible? Or is there a way to add user input to Approval request?

Any Ideas?

Jakub

Re: Approvals in Power Automate - second set of options

The easiest way to do that is to use the Custom Responses approval type and code the custom responses just like you did for this post to cover all the possible combinations.  So instead of two responses there is only one where the choices are

1) Reject

2) Approve and forward to CEO

3) Approve and forward to Owner

4) Approve and forward to Manager

5) Approve and forward to all three.

Its a bit more cumbersome than asking for two inputs, but there is no way to ask for multiple inputs.  This is probably your best workaround.
