Archiving files on SharePoint before saving email attachments

Hi

I am trying to create a flow that would do the following

1. Watch for new email with attachment in specified Outlook folder

2. When received, move files from certain SharePoint folder 1 to folder 2

3. Save email attachment to SharePoint folder 1

4. Delete email

I am able to create a flow that does 1,3 and 4 but unable to add in a step to move files between folders in between 1 and 3.

Any help is appreciated.  Thanks.

Re: Archiving files on SharePoint before saving email attachments

Hi gprocks,

I am not sure with your step2, do you want to move the attachment from folder1 to folder2 after it has been created in folder1?

If yes, you may try to add an action “SharePoint – Copy file” to move the file between two folders.

About the “Delete email” action, please click the button “Add an action” under the action “Create file”, and select the dynamic content “Message Id” for the Message Id field.

Please try this on your side and feel free post back if you need more help.

Re: Archiving files on SharePoint before saving email attachments

Thanks Mabel

The step 2 needs to run on the existing file in the SharePoint folder prior to saving the attachment from the new email.

Basically, I receive emails with the same file on a scheduled basis but each email contains the latest version of the file. So when a new version arrives, I would like to archive the older one and save the new one instead.  The file names are always different so it doesn't overwrite the original file but rather creates multiple copies.
