Ask for name in mail and update sharepoint list

Hi,

I'm using micorosft flow to build a flow where when a new item is created I send a mail with options to an approver. I want when one of the options is created to send an email back to the approver and ask him/her for a name (it's not mandatory to be a person field, I can work with only text). I want to approver to input the name directly from the mail (like when he/she chooses the option) and then this name to be populated in a sharepoint list.

Any tips?

Re: Ask for name in mail and update sharepoint list

Hi @ sanchez,

Do you want the approver to send back his/her name when he choose an option when he receive the email with option?

The “Send email with options” action could support the email recipient to reply the option currently, reply the email with other content such as his/her name is not supported in microsoft flow currently,

If you would like this feature to be added in Microsoft Flow, please submit an idea to Flow Ideas Forum:

As an alternative way, you could take a try to screenhsot below to achieve your needs:

The flow would run successfully to update the item with recipient's options and recipient's name.
