Automated emails based on date- flow failure

Hi,

I have looked at the other threads regarding this topic and none seem to have quite the same issue. I have successfully got a flow to send an email three days before a deadline contained in a sharepoint list. Although the emails are sent, the flow still 'fails' so I get a failure email and the flow history records it as a fail. Is there a way of fixing the flow to prevent this?

Re: Automated emails based on date- flow failure

Hi @SamGibbs,

In the Condition, the dynamic content of Date of Feedback should come from the Apply to each. I have made a test on my side with the similar configuration. It works fine.

The code used in the Condition is:

@equals(formatDateTime(items('Apply_to_each')?['Date'], 'yyyy-MM-dd'),formatDateTime(adddays(utcnow(),3),'yyyy-MM-dd'))

A screenshot for the flow:

Please try again with it on your side.

Re: Automated emails based on date- flow failure

Hi,

It says "ActionFailed: An action failed. No dependent actions succeeded."

In the details bit (the error details appears to be blank):

Start time
Jul 18, 8:19 AM (4 hours ago)
Duration
00:00:13
Status
Failed
Error
Action 'Condition' failed

Re: Automated emails based on date- flow failure

Hi @SamGibbs

It seems that you are having the Problem with the Condition into the Flow.

I suggest you to create  aVariable Named Date where you can Modify the Feedback date as per your requirement of 3 days or whatever.

and i suggest that rather than changing both variables Date Formate change the Newly created variables date Formate to the Date Format which you having by the system.

This Approach will surely work in your Scenario.

Thanks

Re: Automated emails based on date- flow failure

Hi

I have a table of data that includes birthday dates, all I want the flow to do is send an email on their birthday.  I am quite happy to calculate the date that I actually want it sent but having been through all of the help within the community and tried delays and filter an array.  The best result I have so far is that the flow sends an email for all items (people) in my table.

Below is the latest version I have of my flow:Capture.PNG

Hope this is enough information and that someone can help.

thanks
