Automatically attach an Excel file to the task

Hi,

I want to create a Planner task as soon as an Excel file is created in my sharepoint folder. And this task should contain this Excel file as attachment. I can't figure out how to have the Excel file automatically attached to the task with Flow. Can anyone help me?

Thank you very much in advance

Hi @Kallyash ,

You only need to make simple improvements based on that method to solve your problem.

Replace the trigger with When a file is created (properties only), and then update the link to item to the task details.

You don't need to get the attachment from the email, but get the file in the Library.

I think they are links rather than attachments, currently no way in the flow actions or graph api.

Oh, **bleep**. I was really hoping there'd be a solution.

Anyway, thanks for the quick answer.

Hi,

thanks for the answer, unfortunately it is not the solution to my problem.
I have already seen this solution and it could not help me.
What I'm looking for should work without an email.

Best Regards

Thanks for your help. It's already helped me get ahead.
If I create a folder, it works. But I have not yet got it working with Excel. I will contact you as soon as I am stuck or if it works.

Many greetings
