BadRequest Error With Post Message in Teams with "[Success]" in Subject

I've been trying to solve this issue for a few days now and can't seem to do so. I continue to receive a BadRequest error in my flow only if it has "[Success]" in the subject but I have a ton of successful runs with other subject lines including brackets (i.e. "[VMware])

 

I setup a resubmit process at the end if it fails as I thought it was randomly failing but even the resubmit is failing and after digging deeper into the problem is when I noticed it's only on the subject lines including "[Success]". I unfortunately cannot change the emails subject line of the alert or else I would just do that to save the headache.

 

The flow summary: Once received an email with specific keywords, it sends a Teams message to an assigned channel.

 

Does anyone have any recommendations on resolving this issue?

Can you show the inner error message that is cut off in your screenshot?  That may provide some clue as to what is going wrong.

I would check the contents of the message you are posting. Is it possible that something in the message when you are forwarding a success includes Sensitive Information like IP addresses?  If Data Loss Prevention has been enabled in your system that might intercept and prohibit those messages from being sent.

 

I just tried a test message using [Success]..... as the subject line and it worked fine.  So I suspect the actual error is being caused by something in the body, but its only in the body when the message being forwarded is a "Success".

Unfortunately, I have multiple other flows that include IP addresses of the devices that I'm receiving alerts on and are all successfully ran. It seems like only when I receive these specific emails that have [Success] in subject is when I receive the error.

The idea of the IP addresses was just one example.  Take a couple of runs that failed and try resending them without the body of the message.  If they go then you can be pretty confident that its something in the Body causing the issue.  You can then start adding pieces of the body back until you find what causes it to fail.  As I said I ran a test with [Success] in the Subject line which worked so I doubt very much that its the Subject line causing the problem.  But all you can really do is try to isolate things in the email until you find the issue.

Summer of Solutions | Week 4 Results | Winners will be posted on July 24th

We are excited to announce the Summer of Solutions Challenge!    This challenge is kicking off on Monday, June 17th and will run for (4) weeks.  The challenge is open to all Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Copilot Studio & Power Pages) community members. We invite you to participate in a quest to provide solutions to as many questions as you can. Answers can be provided in all the communities.    Entry Period: This Challenge will consist of four weekly Entry Periods as follows (each an “Entry Period”)   - 12:00 a.m. PT on June 17, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on June 23, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on June 24, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on June 30, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on July 1, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on July 7, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on July 8, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on July 14, 2024   Entries will be eligible for the Entry Period in which they are received and will not carryover to subsequent weekly entry periods.  You must enter into each weekly Entry Period separately.   How to Enter: We invite you to participate in a quest to provide "Accepted Solutions" to as many questions as you can. Answers can be provided in all the communities. Users must provide a solution which can be an “Accepted Solution” in the Forums in all of the communities and there are no limits to the number of “Accepted Solutions” that a member can provide for entries in this challenge, but each entry must be substantially unique and different.    Winner Selection and Prizes: At the end of each week, we will list the top ten (10) Community users which will consist of: 5 Community Members & 5 Super Users and they will advance to the final drawing. We will post each week in the News & Announcements the top 10 Solution providers.  At the end of the challenge, we will add all of the top 10 weekly names and enter them into a random drawing.  Then we will randomly select ten (10) winners (5 Community Members & 5 Super Users) from among all eligible entrants received across all weekly Entry Periods to receive the prize listed below.
