Building automated flow and assigning others

This may have been covered and sorry if it has. I have hundreds of emails a day that all have to do with multiple issues amount my 3 locations. I have setup an automation to get a list going to allow me to run reports based off all the data. The list is only shared with 2 other managers. I would like to assign people the task of taking care of the issue. However when I assign them to the task it doesn't add them. It is not due to them having access. Is there a way to make it so I can send this to them as a task. Then when they are complete with it I will get a notification or if they put a date due to waiting on something to come in then I can see the date and notes they have on it? I hope this all makes sense and isn't something so simple that I just am missing something?
