Business process flow using powerautomate

Hello community,

I would like your input/guidance please. I have been tasked to create an on-boarding solution using Powerapps as our front end and Sharepoint list as the back end( source date) and Microsoft flow as the workflow engine.

I would like to create a process/workflow using powerautomate. I am stumped on how to go about doing this. How do i use the Business Process Flows in Flows to define a Business process for this purpose. And process wf will use the status column for the various stages of the workflow.

Here is an example of how I would like to create a bpf:

1. User enters the new user form.

2.Send notification to members of team.

3.Another user updates the form.

4.Assign tasks when the form is updated.

5.As the tasks are completed, the progress of the flow goes from Submitted > in progress > Complete.

6.Send notification of complete status to members of team.

hi @mthiru Perhaps we must first define what is a business process flow of a normal flow. The business process flow is normally used when your core business is included, for example, sales or shipments. A normal flow is part of the business but does not influence the core and is used basically for end users.

As you describe the subject, I understand it is a normal flow, please correct me if I am wrong.
What I would do is create a form in PowerApps and then take that data to a sharepoint list, there I could capture states and know when someone modifies any data, of course assign the task in Planner and finally save the states in a column of the Same sharepoint list with the final states.

Hi @ChristianAbata

Appreciate the prompt response. Currently, thats what i have. I have powerapps forms and Sharepointlist. New records and modifications are captured in the SP list.

I was hoping I wouldn't have to create separate/individidual flows in the step to define this process. In the long run, it may hard for me to manage changes especially to static values in the flow. If i could define one BPF with the various stages and steps involved, it may be more efficient for me.

Excellent mmm in your step 4 you need to separate the flow to capture when a task is conpleted or updated.
