Can't use Run flow button and can't Test a flow

Hi,

I created a flow in Excel connected with Office 365 Outlook which, when manually triggered, will send an email to a user.

However, upon creating it, I tried to run it but the run button doesn't allow me to click on it. It doesn't allow me to use the test option either (see screenshots).

What could be causing this situation?

Thank you in advance!

I found the issue and now it's fixed.

Basically, when you finish creating your flow including giving it a name, DON'T CLICK ON THE ARROW and instead CLICK ON THE SMALL BLACK CROSS ON THE TOP RIGHT to close the flow box (see images below), SELECT A ROW IN YOUR EXCEL TABLE and then you'll see that the small triangle next to the flow you created becomes blue(see image below)  so it means it's ready to be run 🙂

Hi @sousa01 and @Cwaldschmit,

Are you using the trigger "For a selected row" of Excel connector?Annotation 2020-09-09 111855.jpg

Yes and my second step is just to send a email to myself with the variables from the excel sheet

Hi @v-litu-msft

I'm using the "For selected row" of Excel connector indeed.

Hello Team,

In that case you will not get the option to trigger the flow from the Flow environment.

Whenever you use triggers like on a selected file or on a selected row the Power automate gets directly connected with the source rather than giving you the option to test manually.

For example, when I use trigger on a selected file as shown in the image below, the Power Automate get tied to the files in the App.

If you want to manually trigger a flow and test you should instead use a Manual trigger and you will get the option to trigger the flow manually.

Hi @sousa01,

I am glad this issue has been solved by itself, I can reproduce it and could make sure it is a temporary bug. If it still exists tommorw I will report it to MS PA development team, but there is no need to do it now, please enjoy it.

If there is any other issue occurs when you using Flow, please feedback to us, thank you very much.

Once i've made the flow it's not possible to add a manual trigger.

And creating it from web client is not possible the function is not there

Hello v-litu-msft,

I followed the mentioned solution in this post and even added a new flow. Both arrows remain gray...
