Change Site Permission with Flow

Hi There

I would like to create a flow that changes sharing permissions for a sharepoint site with a certain name string.

Normally the sharepoint sites are not allowed to be shared with external users.

The filtering for the name string is easy but how do I change sharing permissions with flow?

It should be able to be shared "with existing and new guests".

Thanks for your help.

Hi @Dan47 :

You can set these users to run only permissions, and then set the connection to the specified connection (equivalent to letting them use your credentials to perform this action)

This allows them to modify the site through this flow regardless of whether they have read or write access to the site (because the specified credentials are used, not their own).

Hi @v-bofeng-msft

Thanks for the reply.

I started creating a flow after posting this thread.

I am stumbling over another issue in the flow itself, before I can even get to this point.

How do I get the Sharepoint Site ID to set the permissions?

Regards

Dan

Hi @Dan47 :

I suggest you create a new thread and describe your needs in detail.

Best Regards,

HI @v-bofeng-msft

This is my question that i described in THIS thread.

The sentence about sharing permissions is about sharing files and folders externally on a sharepoint site on sharepoint admin center and not user permissions. All Users can share something with external Users as soon this setting is open.

Sorry if this lead to some misunderstanding.

You can find more information here: Update Site Sharing Capability with Flow

Many thanks
