It's an appalling design choice to allow flow generated emails to come from "Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate <email@example.com>". There is no way users know who this sender is and in this cyber security aware age, a lot of folks just delete or ignore the emails. And there's no option in send the email notification v3 action to adjust the from display name.
I've seen a lot of questions about this issue but none that have an answer to changing just the display name. Don't care about the from address used, just need the display name to change. Would prefer not to change the send email notification v3 action to something else but am open to any suggestions how to get this done.
What email domain are you using?
Is it outlook / Office365 custom domain?
You should use the Outlook connector with Send email.
Best practice would be to have a Service Account setup, for example:
and use that account as the Connection for the email connector / connection
Yes, we're on Office 365 using a company domain. You reminded me I did set up a flow a while back for an executive where using the generic power apps address wasn't an option. I'll have to look that up and see how I did it.....
