Choosing List in the flow then creating item in it

I have a PowerApp that starts the flow, in the PowerApp you enter some data you want to store in a list, and you enter the name of the list.

In the flow I'd like to create the item in the correct list, but I'm stuck on getting the list.

I used the action 'get lists' to get all lists in my site, but then I have to filter it to get the one with the matching name.

After that i'll need to use that name in the 'create item' action to actually create it.

Is what I'm trying to do possible? If so, how, and if not, would this be possible with an Azure Function?

I can't create the item through PowerApps directly, because sometimes new lists get created and then I'd have to manually add them to the app every time, and I'm trying to automate this process.

Re: Choosing List in the flow then creating item in it

Hi @Sofie_D,

Do you want to create a item using "Create item" action of SharePoint connector based on Dynamic SharePoint List Name?

I afraid that there is no way to achieve your needs in Microsoft Flow currently, if you would like this feature to be added in Microsoft Flow, please submit an idea to Flow Ideas Forum:

In addition, I afraid that the Azure Functions also could not achieve your needs currently.

More details about Azure Functions, please check the following article:
