Classic Designer adding unwanted parameter in Create File (SharePoint) Action

In a work-around in renaming a SharePoint file. I am using the "Create file" action. I have two versions of the flow; one in the New Designer that works perfectly, and one that has a few more actions that got it kicked back into the Classic Designer that is giving me problems.

  1. When using a Compose action to create the file name, and I place the Output (Dynamic Value) into the Create File action it adds "?['$']" to the end of the Output I entered and causes the flow to crash.

    Resulting in:

  2. If I put a concat statement for the new file name directly in the Create File action, then it says "File Not Found"... not sure what file it's looking for, since it is supposed to be creating it...

So, am I missing something? Bug? Corrupted file? Anyone see this before?

I'm afraid that I will have to duplicate the similar process in the "New Designer" and add the extra actions and pray that it works.

BTW: Thank you to all of you in the community that have helped me learn by posting other fun issues and your solutions!

@DWhip The New Designer is still a bit buggy. Have you tried to create a brand new flow, before editing the flow at all—switch to the Classic Designer. You can copy your actions from your previous flow into your new flow if you want and save it (in the Classic Designer) and see if you still have issues.

Thank you @creativeopinion for the tips! Although the New Designer may be buggy, the problems that I had are in the Classic Designer. 🤔
Actually, I've now gone back and made a copy of the similar flow using the New Designer, and added the additional steps. The new flow in the New Designer does work correctly. 😊

I still can't find any reason for the issues I had in the Classic Designer. ☹️

Thanks,

@DWhip Power Automate can be buggy in the Classic Designer, however this usually happens if you start editing your flow in the New Designer and switch to the Classic. Either way .. glad you figured it out!

Ahhh, New to Classic would have been what happened... Thank you for clarifying!
