Click link to verify email address

Hello fellow automators,

I am building a flow from SharePoint that when a person is added to a list, they receive a 'Terms and Conditions' email - This uses "Send an email notification (V3)". First issue is that I can't fix the "From" as it shows up as "Microsoft Power Apps and Flow" which will surely get caught up in SPAM filters on neglected. We can't use the Outlook 365 connected apps yet, as we are not yet exchange enabled...

The real issue though, is once the user receives this email, I want to have a link in it that says "Click here to verify your email address/agree to the T&C's". When they click that link, it would trigger the next part of the flow (or a new flow) that then adds them to the AD Group and grants access - this part I'm ok with at the moment.

So, to simplify:

  1. How do I send this email from a shared inbox? Even if I make it look like it has been sent from it.
  2. How do I include the click here to verify component of the flow?

Thank you all.

Re: Click link to verify email address

Hi @Reknaw,

You can use the get items action to get the email address, but it suppose some filter query in it, or it will get all email addresses.

Are the email address should be a manager? And will it change dynamically according to Added person?

Re: Click link to verify email address

Hi @Reknaw,

1. If you enable to set the Email filter and still want to use "Send an email notification", I am afraid that it could not to set in Flow. But according to your requirements, I think "Send an email with options" will more suit for your situation. It will show up as Flow owner's email.

2. Then if you want to get a response from the user to verify the email address agree to the T&C's, put the text into the user options field of the action, then add a condition action in the following.Annotation 2019-11-22 095106.png

Re: Click link to verify email address

I was having a play with the "Send email with options", but the To field needs to be populated with an email address.

However, it needs to be the dynamic content so I can select the User Email from the SharePoint list.

Any ideas on that one?
