Comments not appearing on approve/reject email

Hi,

The comments that the Approver enters within the Approval item are not being displayed on the email that is sent to the applicant. Is this already a known issue?

Also, is there any way we can edit the text that appears above the comment box that the Approver fills in, or to edit that approval form in any way to include a few extra fields?

Many thanks!

Re: Comments not appearing on approve/reject email

Hi @LibbyKramer,

Could you please share a screenshot of your flow's configuration?

Do you want to edit the text that appears above the comment box that the Approver fills using Microsoft Flow?

I have made a test on my side and don't have the issue that you mentioned. My flow's configuration as below:7.JPG8.JPG

The flow works successfully as below:9.JPG

10.JPG

Please check if the Approver has filled values within Comment box:11.JPG

In addition, if you want to edit the text that appears above the comment box that the Approver fills in within your flow, you could consider take a try to use the WDL expression to edit the text within your flow:12.JPG

But if you want to edit that approval form in any way to include a few extra fields, I afraid that there is no way to achieve your needs in Microsoft Flow currently.

More details about the WDL expression within Microsoft Flow, please check the following article:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/logic-apps/logic-apps-workflow-definition-language

Best regards,

Kris

Re: Comments not appearing on approve/reject email

Hi Kris,

Thanks for your email. My flow looks identical with the exception of the Expression at the end:

There are comments in the comment box.

Many thanks!
