Comparing array of strings in excel using Microsoft Flow

I have created a two identical Flows that are triggered when one of two Microsoft Forms response is submitted respectfully (one for Community Partners and the other for Faculty Partners). These flows takes the response details and inserts them them into excel spreadsheet to there respective table. The last question for both forms are identical, asking for a desired subject matter with multiple choice answer. This question gets inserted into the excel spreadsheet as an array of stings(if I’m not mistaken). I want to now create an action that will compare the response details of the last question of all the rows in both tables to “match” rows that share at least one of the same strings in the array. Is this at all possible? I have created a two identical Flows that are triggered when one of two Microsoft Foms response is submited. These flows takes the response details and inserts them them into excell spreadsheet to there respective table.

Re: Comparing array of strings in excel using Microsoft Flow

Hi @ljherald,

Could you please share a screenshot of your flow's configuration?

Could you please share a bit more about your Excel tables?

Further, do you want to compare each row from an Excel table with all rows of another table?

Please check and see if the response that I made within the following workaround would help in your scenario:

https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/General-Flow-Discussion/Compare-two-array-objects/m-p/115358#M12...

If you could provide more details about your scenario, we would provide a proper workaround for you.

Best regards,

Kris

Unfortunately, I realized the problem was with the "contains" parameter that is used within the condition. I have since found a workaround in changing how the answers form the Forms applications are inserted into excel.
