Condition on null, is letting through null values

Could you use a condition like? (empty... on left hand side, true on right hand side)

empty(last(...)) equals true

I have tried it and it still gives the same. I believe it contains double quotes, so it's not in fact empty. But it becomes empty when I insert it in a Dataverse row. I have decided to afterwards delete the rows with empty, as a way to counter it instead.
