Consolidating Nested Sub Folders

Right now my folder structure has a folder for each employee, and inside each employee folder is a few generic folders. Employee 1 has Folder 1, Folder 2, and Folder 3. Employee 2 will have the same named Folder 1, Folder 2, and Folder 3 with their own files to go in those folders. I am trying to consolidate everything from all Folder 1 to a folder for internal staff to have in one place. Same with folder 2 and folder 3.

My solution currently is to make an individual flow for each employee saying "When a file is created in Employee 1/Folder 1, Copy to Consolidated Folder 1" and one for Employee 2 saying "When a file is created in Employee 2/Folder 1, Copy to Consolidated Folder 1". This leaves for lots of changing if I change a folder name or if I want to add a new employee. Is there a way to make a more dynamic flow that will do this for all employees with a single flow?

Re: Consolidating Nested Sub Folders

Hi @dbk54,

If these folders are located in the same library, you can refer to the following steps to create the Flow to achieve your goal:

  • When a file is created in a Library;
  • If its folder path contains Folder1 and it is not equal to Consolidated folder 1, copy the file to Consolidated folder 1;
  • Folder 2 and Folder 3 determination could refer to step 2.

Re: Consolidating Nested Sub Folders

You should be able to accomplish in one flow utilize a For each loop, Compose an array, and the Office 365 Users connector. If you could provide an expanded screenshot of your Flow and steps, and of any detailed error messages you're receiving we could likely better assist you. Also, for the best results, you may want to review How to write a good forum post.
