Construct an expression, then use in another step, possible?

Is it possible to construct an expression in a compose or variable step and then use the output as an expression in another step.

Example:

Compose:

body('Get_customers')?['value']?[item()?['Column']}

where body('Get_customers')?['value'] is the current customer being processed

and item()?['Column'] is the current column that I am interested in

Switch on an expression based onthe output of the compose step - possible?

Re: Construct an expression, then use in another step, possible?

Hi @JohnAageAnderse,

Could you please share a screenshot of the configuration of your flow?

Could you please explain more details about your requirement?

If you want to use use the output from Compose or variable as an expression in another step, you could refer to screenshot below to create the flow:

The expression in the Compose as below:

variables('MobileNumberArray')?[0]?['MobileNumber']

The flow would run successfully as below:

Best regards,

Alice

Thank you Alice for your suggestion, but it is not what I am asking Smiley Happy

Here is a small part of the flow, but the important one!

Flow.Construct expression.png

Will the above work or be possible in another way?

1) In the Process statement (a Compose step) I construct an expression. I am looping through a list of column names for which I need to process the value. In other words, the expression changes depending on the column name in the Column attribute.

2) In the Process Role (a Switch step) I wish to use the expression from 1)

Is that possible somehow?

Kind regards, John
