Convert Excel matrix to Sharepoint list/table

Hi!

I'm trying to convert a Excel martix with a budget to a table in a Sharepoint list.

Is this possible? Can any one point me at the right direction? Right now I have managed to get all the rows from the Excel-sheet table into an array but I cant find a way to transform them to a list with one item per Activity and perod (as in the list example below).

Would be super happy for some guidence!

Hi @Spångberg,

I have made a test on my side to create an excel table and save the excel file in sharepoint library as below:

You could refer to screenshot below to Create the flow:

The flow would run successfully as below:

And items would be created in sharepoint list as below:

Hi Alice!

Thanks for the suggestion. This works if i have a fixed set of "periods" but I need a way to fetch the period names (and number of periods) from the column names and add them dynamicly to the Flow, any ideas?

Regards!

Hi @Spångberg

There is no any way to fetch the column names in microsoft flow currently. And I afraid that there is no any way to achieve the requirement in microsoft flow currently.

If you would like the function to fetch the column names to be supported in microsoft flow, please submit an idea to flow idea forum:

OK, thanks for clearyfing it.

What if I did put the column names in the first row, would it be possible then?

Hi @Spångberg,

If you put the column names in the first row, you could add a "Get row" action of Excel connector to get the first row.

And then you could use the dynamic content from the "Get row" action in the following steps.

Best regards,

Alice
