Converting Word Document to PDF

Hi everyone

I'm battling to get the OneDrive for Business - Convert File (to PDF) to work.

My use case is taking a Note attachment in Dynamics 365 that's been generated by a Word Template, and convert this to a PDF.

The Flow executes successfully, but the file that gets generated, isn't a PDF file.

The Word File that is created in OneDrive, is a valid Word document that opens up perfectly.

I've tried doing this exact Flow using the Common Data Service as my Connector, as well Dynamics 365 - with the same result.

Here are a few screenshots of the Flow, as well as the output file.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks very much.

Rean

Hi @reanm , thank you for the post.

It's a great connector, and here is a working flow triggered by a button.

Please replicate to suit your needs.Capture-246.png

Hi Alan

Thanks for the speedy reply.

I tried following your suggestion - ran into Data Loss Prevention Policy restrictions. I now need my Azure system admin to add (amongst other things) Word Online (Business) to the Business Data group first.

I'll then try your solution again.

If it works, I'll use Flow to take my Notes attachment and save it to SharePoint (rather than OneDrive for Business) and then do the conversion to PDF from SharePoint.

Will update this post as soon as I can try this.

Cheers

Rean

Hi Rean. You’re most welcome and I’m sure it will work if indeed it get’s allowed by DLP. I use this approach with success, linking to various connectors with success every day.

Happy Flowing!
Alan
