Converting a CSV file to JSON

Hello!

I'm working on a Flow to take updates from a vendor and put it into our system.

I've been following along with this tutorial to convert the CSV to JSON and I'm having a bit of trouble. I'm stuck on Step 3.

I'm not sure what the "Append to array variable" is supposed to be or do. Nothing I put in there seems to work. Also, when I try and test run the "Apply to Each" section that follows (Assuming I skip that append) I get an error.2019-01-23_13-46-37.png

Does anyone have any advice? Sorting this out would make my life a lot easier.

@RTW,

Try contacting Serge direct he helped me out within 24 hours.  I will say that not everything is shown on his blog posts.

Re: Converting a CSV file to JSON

Hi @RTW,

The action Append to array variables is used to add a new value to the end of the list. This is most useful inside an Apply to each, where you can continue adding new items into the array each time the loop runs.

Please check the blog at here for more details on it:

https://flow.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/managed-metadata-tago/

Besides, please check For each approver part in this blog for more details on how to use this action:

https://flow.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/advanced-flow-of-the-week-send-parallel-approval-requests-to-a...

Hope it could be helpful for you.

Best regards,

Mabel

You can use Parse CSV action from Plumsail Documents connector. It allows you to convert CSV into an array and variables for each column. Please read this article demonstrating how it works.
