Copy Dataverse column data to another column when a new Row is added

I have a Table in Dataverse that needs to be sorted numerically by the Project ID. I have learned that the key column data is not viewed as a whole number, which was giving me issues with sorting so I created an Auto Number column. I have now found out that an AutoNumber column also does not sort as a "number" so I created a "true" number Sorting Column, copied the existing Autonumber data to the new Sorting column and I am now looking to automatically copy the auto-generated Alpha numbers from my AutoNumber column to my actual Whole Number based Sorting Column. Why are there no Column types that are AutoNumber and seen as numbers?

Can anyone tell me the steps and expressions needed to get PowerAutomate to copy the AutoNumber Column to the SortingColumn when a new row is added? I have tried the basic Update row using the Dynamic entry and it fails every time. Thank you for your assistance.

Hi @tburnsJEB ,

You need to use a GUID column value for the Row ID parameter of the Update a row action:

Thank you for the response. Just starting to use PowerAutomate with Dataverse. I got it to work by using the dynamic column that had the unique identifier like in your screenshot. When I make flows for SharePoint sometimes I have to get the ID, but with SP getting the ID is super easy. Just click the object and look at the bottom, or the address bar while DV doesn't have that option. So I will need to create a flow for my PowerApp that will send Emails when a task is assigned to an AAD User. I have done this with an HTML table with SharePoint. So in DataVerse will creating these similar flows all require utilizing a GUID? Thanks again.
