Copy data from Onedrive to Sharepoint file

Hi all,

Is it possible to do the following with Flow?
Copy the data from a file on Onedrive (for Business) to a file on Sharepoint on the next empty line.

Something like the one below but I am aware that it is not that simple.

Hi @frixel,

The file is encrypted, so the file could not be copied by the Flow, if you want to do it, you need to decrypt it.Annotation 2019-09-18 142956.png

I don`t know how i can see the properties from the sharepoint file for to see that one is dedrypt.

Hi @frixel,

Maybe this document about SharePoint file permission will help you:

Oke, i see now that the sharepoint file must not be open.

Only when it is close ther is a update?

Hi @v-litu-msft

Great, i have this working but i want that new data(when a new file is in Onedrive with same name and format) it copy to the sharepoint file but under the other data.

Is that also possible?

Hi @frixel,

I don't understand the meaning of new data, is it the update file content of the file in the OneDrive or a copied file content?

hi @v-litu-msft

Yes, it is the file in onedrive. there is every day a new document with the same name.

I want that the new data from the new file in onedrive to the sharepoint file goes but then under the data there already exist .)from the past data)

I hope you so understand what i mean. (sorry for my bad english)

Hi @frixel,

Never mind, I just want to make sure of your requirements. So, the step is when the file in OneDrive update copy the file to SharePoint with a new name if there has already existed one.

I think this method would help you:

Step 1. Create a trigger When a file is modified.

Step 2. Create the file in a subfolder (named temp, just for store the file temporarily) in the SharePoint Library.

Step 3. Add Get file properties action to get the file's Identifier.

Step 4. Copy the newly created file into your destination folder with the option if another file is already here copy with a new name.

Step 5. Delete the newly created file in the temp folder.

Hi @v-litu-msft

I think you don`t understand it.

Not copy the onedrive file to sharepoint bust only the information in that onedrive file.

The senario is: When there is in the onedrive a new file (it has alway`s the same name and headers) it mus this information put in the sharepoint file under the information there still is in the sharepoint file.

Hi @frixel,

Do you mean to add the information into the SharePoint file if new data added in the OneDrive?

Such as,

SharePoint file Content:

record 1

record 2

When the file in the OneDrive data update with record 3, add it into the SharePoint file:

SharePoint file Content:

record 1

record 2

record 3

Hi @v-litu-msft

Like that but record 3 is the next day in a new file on onedrive.

And this is than correct;

SharePoint file Content:

record 1

record 2

record 3

Hi @frixel,

If when update the file would not delete the original file, and the Excel file is fixed, maybe you could use the method:Annotation 2019-09-20 175149.png

Hi @v-litu-msft

I have a problem with the table in the onedrive file.

This file is a export from a program and save it to the onedrive and therefore it has no table.

Hi @frixel,

Please save the Flow and Excel file, close the Excel file and Flow, then open the flow and try again.
