Copy files from one library to another when a column status is changed

I am trying to build a flow that will be automatically triggered when one of the column status from a file been changed to "Complete".

Then, I want to copy that "Complete" file from it oringial document library to a new one which stores all the copies from completed files.

How can I do it? please help. Is this trigger avaliable in Microsoft Flow?

Thank you very much

Sincerely,

Eason

Re: Copy files from one library to another when a column status is changed

Hi @Eason,

You could use "When a file is created or modified (properties only)" to trigger Flow.

I am not sure what type of "column status" is. I have made a test on my side. The type of Status column is the Choice type. Please take a try with the following workaround:

Please take a try.

Re: Copy files from one library to another when a column status is changed

Hi @v-bacao-msft,

I am using Choice type as well. I follow your step and build a flow, but I'm facing some new problems here:

1. When I changed the column status to "Complete", it triggered the flow. However, the system can't recognize either the column name or the column value and return as false instead.

copy file problem 1.PNGcopy file problem 2.PNGcopy file problem 3.PNG

My SharePoint site is built in a Chinese-language environment so I am having a Chinese column name. I am wondering that is it gonna cause problem for flow to recognize the column name?

2. Is it possible to copy a file from a folder when the file's column name been changed to "Complete and do no action to the rest of the file in that folder?

Many thanks,

Eason

Re: Copy files from one library to another when a column status is changed

Hi @Eason,

First question:

Since the type of your column is Choice, the value filled in the Condition should be the value of this column, such as Status Value, as below:

Second question:

You could select the specified folder when configuring Trigger by clicking on the folder icon on the right, as below:
