Copying Files to Sharepoint Folder

Hi,

I currently have flows that create files for different sharepoint lists. However, I want to combine similar files into a single folder.

E.g. I have Person1_File A; Person2_File A in one document library and Person 1_File B; Person2_File B in a second document library and I want to combine all Person 1 files and all person 2 files into two separate folders.

Is this possible? It can be automated, scheduled or any other trigger.

Re: Copying Files to Sharepoint Folder

Hi @Jammie1000000 ,

Please consider using the filtering feature in SharePoint Library to filter all the files that meet the criteria, and then copy all the eligible files to the specified location.

Click Edit current view, configure the conditions in Filter, filter out the file whose name contains the specified string value, and then click Ok. All the files displayed in the current view are the eligible files.

Then select all the files and copy them to the specified location.

You could also filter the file type via Filter.

Please take a try.

Re: Copying Files to Sharepoint Folder

This will still be a labour intensive way of doing this. There can be up to 10 different document libraries (say A through to J) that will have up to 100 files (for person 1 through to 100) and I would only need 1 file from each.

I want to keep all the "A" files together but I also want all the "A" to "J" files for person 1 in a separate folder.

Ideally once this was setup I would have a flow that updates any edited files in all folders.
