Copying SharePoint Files to Google Drive is Failing on Folders

I'm trying to copy files from our sharepoint document libraries to Google drive as a backup. Right now, when I try do this, it seems to fail on folders with error code 404 "does not exist". Is there a way around this?

Thanks!

Re: Copying SharePoint Files to Google Drive is Failing on Folders

Hi @the_joey_o,

Could you please share a screenshot of your flow's configuration?

Could you please show a bit more about your error message?

Further, do you copy all files from your SharePoint library to Google Drive or copy the file to Google Drive when a file is created in your SharePoint library?

If you want to copy all files from your SharePoint library to Google Drive, please take a try with the following workaround:

  • Add a proper trigger, here I use Flow Button trigger.
  • Add a "List folder" action, specify Site Address and File Identifier.
  • Add a "Apply to each" action, input parameter set to output of "List folder" action.
  • Within "Apply to each" action, add a Condition, Left input box set to IsFolder dynamic content of "List folder" action, right input box set to true. Within middle drop down, choose is equal to.
  • Within "If/no" branch of Condition, add a "Get file content" action, specify Site Address and File Identifier field set to Id dynamic content of "List folder" action. Then add a "Create file" action of Google Drive connector, File name field set to DisplayName dynamic content of "List folder" action, File content field set to File Content dynamic content of "Get file content" action.

If you want to copy the file to Google Drive when a file is created in your SharePoint library, please take a try with the following workaround:5.JPG

The flow works successfully as below:6.JPG

Please check if you have specify proper folder within Folder path field of "Create file" action of Google Drive connector. Also please check if the specific folder is existed in your Google Drive.

In addition, please also consider take a try to re-create a connection to Google Drive connector within your flow and run your flow again to check if the issue is solved.

Best regards,

Kris
