Create/Update Sharepoint List using an Excel List using Flow

Hello, I am new to flow and was attemping to do something similar to this video -
I would run it once and it would output Sort IDs 1-6 in sharepoint, but if I were to run it again it would out 1-6 again in the next 6 rows.  Any help or guidance would be appreciated!  Thanks!

Hi @wnguyen23 ,

Could you provide more details about your problem?

According to the screenshot you provided, you want to determine if there is already an eligible item in SharePoint list. If it does not exist, create a new item.

It seems that the configuration of Flow is no problem. It is worth noting that if you use Title as the key column to filter items, you should fill Sort ID in Title field.

And Sort ID should be a non-null field with a unique value in Excel table.

So this is happening, I run the flow once and it'll output 1-6, but if I run it again it'll out 1-6 again in the next 6 rows.

Am I using Sort ID as the filter incorrectly?  Not too sure how to set non-null field with a unique value in Excel table also.

Hi @wnguyen23 ,

If the current configuration is consistent with the screenshot you provided earlier, you could try the following changes.

  • Use Filter array to filter out eligible items without configuring Filter Query.
  • Then use length() function to calculate the length of Filter array-body.

Please try again.

@v-bacao-msft thanks looks like that worked!  Any idea why it'll create an empty row after the last entry?

And when I tried this Update Flow this occurs:3.png
