Create a OneNote section only for calendar events with certain categories

I am trying to create a Microsoft Flow that creates a OneNote section if a calendar event has a specific category. The flow has not successfully created a OneNote section, so I must not be referencing the event tag/category correctly. Any ideas?

Screenshots of the flow are below.

Re: Create a OneNote section only for calendar events with certain categories

Hi @kelliprieto,

Could you please show a bit more about error message of your flow run?

I think there is something wrong with the Condition and the action to add a OneNote section within your flow.

The dynamic Categories content that the trigger returned is an array, so it is not appropriate to compare with other value using “is equal to”. Besides, if you want to create a OneNote section, you should use “Create section in a notebook” action of OneNote connector.

I have made a test on my side and the flow works well. My flow’s configuration as below:7.JPG

The flow works successfully as below:8.JPG

More details about OneNote connector, please check the following article:

OneNote connector

Best regards,

Kris

Re: Create a OneNote section only for calendar events with certain categories

Kris,

I am not receiving an error. The flow logs show that the run history is successful, so I must be incorrectly referencing something in one of the flow steps.

I do want to create a page in a pre-existing OneNote section - not a new OneNote section. I updated my flow to use "contains" for the category instead of "is equal to" and the flow worked as expected.

Thanks for your help!

Kelli
