Create a copy of calendar event and delete original

I'm trying to create a flow which creates a (modified) copy of calendar events from a named organizer, and then deletes the original event.

When: a calendar event is created, edited or deleted (V2)

If: organizer = X

False = do nothing

True =

1. Create a copy

2. Delete event (V2)

Creating a copy works just fine, but the flow deletes the copy and not the original event. How can I reference the original event ID instead?

Found the solution - and it's a pretty obvious one. Feeling a bit stupid, but for my fellow newbies out there:

Yes, you can reference the ID (or other dynamic content) of any step in your flow. The list of dynamic content is sorted by step. There were two "ID" tags in my list, but I simply didn't see it / scroll down far enough to realize this.

Re: Create a copy of calendar event and delete original

Hi @tslupphaug,

After you deleted the copied event, you could not find any information about it.

One point needs to confirm, is the copied event in the same calendar as the original event?

If they are located on different calendars, and there are no events with the same name, you can refer to the event name to find the event with the name that just appears in one calendar.

Yes, the original and the copy are both in the same calendar.

Isn't it possible to reference the original event by ID / dynamic content tag?

Re: Create a copy of calendar event and delete original

Hi @tslupphaug,

Yes, it is impossible, because the Event ID not be copied to the event, the ID is unique, so the Event name is the best way.
