Create a record - pass data from list records

Hi all Having some fun with a flow at the moment, using common data service (current) and also the other CDS connector.

Steps in flow: 

• List records (custom entity A)  this entity contains a lookup to contact
• Apply to each (output from List Records)
• Create new record (Custom entity B)    - 
  • pass the contact record from entity A into custom entity B:  Contact (Value) - this creates the record i need but does not populate the contact record as expected.

Next thing tried - (But i want it to work as method above!)

• List records (custom entity A)  this entity contains a lookup to contact
• Apply to each (output from List Records)
  • GET CONTACT (CONTACT VALUE) from custom entity A
    • error: The 'inputs.parameters' of workflow operation 'Get_a_record_2' of type 'OpenApiConnection' is not valid. Error details: The resolved string values for the following parameters are invalid, they may not be null or empty: 'recordId'

The test cases I am using are not null as suggested in the error. 

Not sure if this explanation is clear enough but hopefully somebody understands! 

The main question is - how do I get the contact record *lookup* and then pass it to the record I am creating? I thought that passing the Contact (Value) from my list records would work but it does not.

Do you mean there is also a lookup column in entity B?

Can you share a screenshot of the configuration of Get recod action?

Please make sure that the value you fill in the record id field is not empty. You could first add a Compose action and enter the content you filled in the Get record action into Compose, and then check whether the output of Compose is empty.
