Create a team failed. "No team found with group id"

Hello, i have a nice error that i cant wrap my head around.

I have a flow that creates a team on specific conditions.

This flow was running perfectly fine until today.

The "Create a Team" action output writes "NotFound"

however the team gets created.

Title: Some users may be unable to create new teams within the Microsoft Teams admin center or via the Microsoft Graph API

User Impact: Users may have been unable to create new teams within the Microsoft Teams admin center or via the Microsoft Graph API.

Final status: We've completed processing the backlog of requests and confirmed via system telemetry that impact is remediated.

Scope of impact: This issue may have potentially affected any of your users attempting to create new teams within the Microsoft Teams admin center or via the Microsoft Graph API.

Start time: Thursday, May 26, 2022, at 9:45 PM UTC

End time: Friday, May 27, 2022, at 6:43 PM UTC

Root cause: A recent update to service components facilitating team creation contained a code regression that was causing a sync issue and resulting in impact.

Next steps:

- We're assessing our service update procedures to better understand how the regression wasn't identified during testing and validation, which will allow us to prevent similar impact in the future.

This is the final update for the event.

i am now also useing the "list groups that i own and belong to" action with a filter array on the name of the group.

this gets me the exact group id of the Team.

then i am useing the "add member to group" with the group owner as the connection.

same error 404 "not Found" no team found with group id ...

between the create a team and all other actions is a 30 second delay..

can you please fix this microsoft?

Hi @niklasjegg,

I am experiencing the exact same behaviour. I can reproduce the problem even with a 2 steps flow (Trigger + Create a Team). So, it looks like this an API problem.

I have an open service ticket regarding this problem. I will let you know the answer from the support engineer.

Best regards
Marco

Hi @marcodeluca  thanks for the reply i thought i am too dumb to create a team.

to be even further specific. The API in Graph does not show these created Teams. The ones from last week by the same flow/ action are shown.

Also the GetallTeams().value in a Gallery in powerapps does not show these teams.

Hi @niklasjegg ,

the support engineer was able to reproduce the issue in his test tenant, too.

He will get back to me as soon as he has further info.

Hello,

I have the same problem using the Microsoft Graph API :

Steps to reproduce :

It seems like an API error because the Team is visible in Teams for Windows.

To reinforce this. I am also experiencing this issue. This seems to be a problem with the API.

I am still experiencing this issue, which results in intermittent flow failure; perhaps 1 in 10. Seems like they haven't quite ironed this out.

Hi, Did MS resolve the issue? I'm testing creating a Team and I'm getting the error message" No team found with groupIDxxxxx"

Thank you

Not that I know of. The workaround I’m using is to send an HTTP Get request with the expected nickname of the group appended to the tenant main url… something like companyname.sharepoint.com/sites/expectedgroupnickname

this request can be parsed to find the newteamID.

put that general line of thought into a parallel branch that only runs when the create team action (appears) to fail.

I’ll try to post a picture showing an example when I’m back to a computer.

Its Been over a year since this was reported and fixed, but yesterday I  still got the same issue in my flow, when i tried to create team again it went away. Can anyone let me know if there was any service notification regarding this, as I can't find anything.
