Create event (V1) - description is HTML

I have a flow that creates an event (v1) with a description triggering off of a sharepoint list.  Is there a way to either strip the html or convert it to whatever formatting the 'create event' creates the event in?

For example...  The event in my outlook is showing the <p>TEST DATA</p> in the description of the appointment.

Re: Create event (V1) - description is HTML

Hi @Sleky,

Could you please share a screenshot of your flow's configuration?

Do you want to convert the HTML text into normal plain text?

I think the "Html to text" action could achieve your needs, I have made a test on my side and please take a try with the following workaround:

  • Add a "When an item is created" trigger, specify Site Address, List Name set to a Calendar event list.
  • Add a "Compose" action, Inputs field set to Description dynamic content of the trigger.
  • Add a "Html to text" action, Content field set to Description dynamic content of the trigger.
  • Add a "Create event (V1)" action, Subject field set to output of "Html to text" action.

Note: The Description dynamic content of the trigger would return a HTML text, I use a "Compose" action to display the result the Description dynamic content returned on my side.

The flow works successfully as below:3.JPG
